Brook Stueb was crowned the 2023 Sangamon County Fair Queen at the annual Sangamon County Fair Queen Pageant Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Brook is the 19-year-old daughter of Anna Stuebs and Ryan McCallum and lives in Loami. She is a 2022 graduate of New Berlin High School and completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program at Capital Area Career Center. Fall of 2023, Brook will be a sophomore at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she is pursuing a major in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences and plans for a career in Pediatric Nursing. She is a member of the University of Illinois Chi Omega Omicron Chapter Sorority and is on the Social Chair Committee. She is also a member of the Student Nurses' Association and the African American Culture Society. She has volunteered for Girl Scouts of America, Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, Make-A-Wish Foundation, 4-Paws and Carle Hospital.
